Please note - in this guide we refer to two control panels. Please see the details below.
Microsoft 365 Control Panel refers to this link: https://login.microsoftonline.com
Hosting Control Panel refers to this link: Hosting Control Panel

1

You can access the Microsoft 365 Portal by visiting https://login.microsoftonline.com

2

You will be taken to your admin dashboard. Select Show all from the left menu.

2a

Then select Settings then Domains.

3

Enter your domain that you want your Microsoft 365 services to run from. Click Use Domain when finished.

4

On the next page you will have a choice of options in order to verify ownership of the domain added on the previous step. In this case we will select Add a TXT record to the domain's DNS records.

5

You will now have a value that will need added to your domain's DNS records.

6

Assuming your domain is on Easyspace nameservers, access your Easyspace hosting control panel and load the DNS Management Section for your Domain.

6a

Select the TXT Records Tab and Add Record.

6b

Navigate back to your 365 portal and copy the values you have been given for the TXT record into the box in your DNS management. In our example, this record is "MS=ms83172614" and the host is "@".

6c

Select Update then Save once added.(Keep the DNS management open, you'll need it for later DNS additions)

6d

Navigate back to your Microsoft 365 setup and Select Verify. Please note it can sometimes take up to an hour for the TXT record you added to become visible to Microsoft 365 and allow verification.

7

On the next page, select Add your own DNS records and select Continue

8

Choose which services you plan on implementing. The default selection is Exchange, this gives us the DNS records needed for the Email service functionality. The other selections are in the Advanced Options further down the page.

9

Scroll further down this page and you will see the DNS records required to setup your email on Microsoft 365. Expand each to see the required record values.

10

Similar to earlier where we added the TXT record verification record, copy each of the records above (MX record, CNAME record and TXT record) and add them into the DNS management area of your Easyspace Hosting Control Panel.

10a

In DNS management select the MX Records tab and copy and paste the values from the Microsoft 365 dns settings page into the Host, Priority and Domain sections. Select Update when finished.

10b

Next select the CNAME Record tab in DNS management and copy and paste the CNAME values from the Microsoft 365 DNS settings page into the Host section and to the Domain section. Select Update when finished.

10c

Finally select the TXT Records tab and copy and paste the CNAME values from the Microsoft 365 dns settings page into the Host and Data sections. Select Update when finished.

10d

Once all the records have been added, Select Save to finalise the DNS changes.

11

Navigate back to the Microsoft 365 DNS settings page again and select Continue.

12

You should then see confirmation of your domain setup is now complete.

13

You will also now see your domain in the dashboard with a healthy status and ready for use.
