A zone file is a text file that contains the DNS records for a domain. It is used to translate domain names into IP addresses, allowing users to access websites and other resources using human-readable names instead of numerical IP addresses. Zone files are stored on DNS servers and are used to resolve DNS queries.
You can view your current zone file by clicking "View Zone File"
From this screen you can also download or copy the current zone file
Customers with "Domain Protect (DNSSEC)" will have the option to view/download and restore historical zone files within the last 60 days.
Every time a DNS change is made a backup is taken. If you have not made any changes to DNS in the last 60 days no backups will be available.
You can view backups available by clicking "Manage DNS Backups"
From this screen you can select which backup you wish to view, click "Manage DNS Backup" beside the backup you want to view
You can search by a specific date by clicking "search by date"
From this screen you can view/copy/download/restore the zonefile from this backup
If you choose to restore the zonefile from backup you will be presented with an "are you sure" warning.
